External competitions

The Club takes part in a number of competitions organised by other organisations. These include friendly 'battles' against other clubs, and formal exhibitions/competitions. Here we will add a summary of relevant events we will enter as a club, or KCPA events that are open to individual members.

Members are encouraged to enter and attend these events. They are good ways of seeing photography from people other than our own members, which can prompt ideas for your own pictures. And of course you will be supporting Sevenoaks Camera Club at an 'away' match!

For the competitions marked with an asterisk * in the Closing date column, our External Competition Secretary will ask relevant members well in advance of any closing date to submit work for possible selection — by the Selection Committee — as our Club entry.

Malling battle of the prints for 6 prints selected to represent our Club. this competition hosted by Malling PS involves up to a dozen local clubs.
The Diamond Jubilee Trophy for 8 PDIs, on any subject, colour or mono, selected to represent our Club.
The KCPA Annual Print and PDI (Projected Digital Image) Exhibition for individual Club members. Members can submit prints or PDIs or both. PDIs are entered by members online, prints will be aggregated and submitted by our Club on behalf of members.
